Sanamluang Cafe in Hollywood serves great Thai food and has the history and reviews to back it up. It was featured in the Michelin Guide in 2009, and the service is still fast and very friendly. We started with the papaya salad, which was excellent. The peanuts added a nice crunch that balanced out the fresh flavors. The Chinese broccoli with crispy pork was probably my favorite dish. The sauce soaked into the rice, and the broccoli and pork paired perfectly. The drunken noodles were also really good, especially with the ground beef, but next time I might prefer a larger cut of meat instead. I also tried a variety meat dish with crispy pork, duck, and pork. It's a great option if you want to sample different cuts of meat. Sanamluang Cafe offers flavorful Thai dishes with quick service and a laid-back vibe. It's definitely worth checking out, especially if you're a fan of classic Thai flavors.

Always interesting , flavorful and balanced cuisine, with a gracious service style. It's a cafe with a nice outdoor patio for warm nights. Also adjacent to a co-owned Thai market where you can stock up on all of the fresh ingredients used in the Cafe's dishes, and many other snack and utility household items. Loved their spicy minced lamb, a great version of papaya salad with huge prawns, and some of the best mee krob in town. Given this area is literally saturated with great Thai options, Sanamluang has been a favorite ever since being introduced to it 15 years ago. Parking in the lot is better at off rush hours, but I can usually find something nearby.

My spouse and I stopped there for lunch. We haven't been there for over 20 some years. It was nice and not crowded at all. We sat outside. Plenty of seating available. It's a simple furnished place but in return you are awarded with wonderful service and incredible food. Nong, our youn waitress came to our table and took our order. We liked her immediately. Friendly, polite and respectful. My spouse ordered vegetable spring rolls. So good and crispy. And vegan Tom-Kahn-Kai with tofu and rice on the side. He loved it. I had the amazing duck over rice. So delicious. I have to apologize but after we were almost done eating I remembered to take pics. So, no pics of my duck. But go try it. It's gooooood.

This place is an institution. Been here a few times as a kid. You are guaranteed to be full. They serve you a lot of good for what you get. Some items are definitely superior to other items. I advise the beef stew noodle soup over the General's noodle, Incredible flavors always a good time. It has managed to maintain the same vibe and ambiance I remember as a kid.

This is hands down the best Thai food spot in Hollywood. I've been coming here for years and they always remain consistent and so delicious. The portions are huge and the service was great. We only waited 10 minutes on a Saturday night and there is valet parking which is super convenient! We got the beef noodle soup, chicken satay, squid salad (my fave), and pad thai.

From the outside, I already liked the vibe. Neon lights and an outdoor seating area that reminds you of the night markets of thailand. I had great Thai food here, with cheaper prices and good sized portions. I got the spicy basil leaves fried rice and it was good. The fried rice was flavorful with Thai curry, juicy peppers, and large chunks of seafood meat. I also got the salted egg and it came with a salty sauce on the side. It was great, I'm just not used to some of the unique flavors. I loved the green syrup cream drink the best. It was so creamy, sweet, and refreshing. The service was great too. My server seemed shy, but he was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. I couldn't finish all my food, so he made sure I was able to takeout everything including the sauce and drink. I also like how this place is open late, a good spot for a late night dinner.
